Off to Munich

We found a great deal on our German rail passes.  For the women's World Cup, the DB rail service has a special.  One month of travel for the same price each of us were going to pay for 10 flexible travel days before.

To start our tour of Germany, we are going to the southern reaches of Germany to Bavaria and the town of Munich.  Yes, I am going to try some of the vaunted Bavarian cream.  I may weight more, but I think it will be worth it.

We will be leaving soon.  On the high-speed train it will take six hours to reach Munich, so we will get there in time to check into a hotel and get ready for the next day.  Monday we will spend until about 5 pm exploring, then head back to Berlin, arriving about Midnight.

We're not sure if we will be able to connect to the internet in Munich, so you may not hear from us until we get back to Berlin.  When you do, we'll have all kinds of update to provide.  It may be text first, then pictures and video later as we will have time to compose posts on the train, but not edit and add in the photos and videos.
